PNC App Design
Gen Z is beginning their financial journey without the tools to navigate it. This project rethinks the PNC app to meet them there, with customization, clearer tracking, and built-in learning that turns better financial habits into something users actually want to engage with.
Building the experience
Research showed Gen Z wanted more personalization and better tools to build savings habits, so we started by reworking the navigation to remove friction. From there, wireframes let us test ideas directly with users, who responded most to customizable layouts and light educational features. The result is an app users can shape around their own habits: a home screen they can personalize or simplify with templates, a Money Hub that centralizes spending, cards, and transfers, visual goal tracking that makes saving feel tangible, and non-invasive micro-learning built for users just starting their financial journey.
